TEAS Test Day Checklist: What to Bring, What to Wear, and What to Expect
The day of the TEAS Exam is stressful! You do not want the added trouble of wondering whether you remembered the correct ID or if your water bottle is allowed in the test room with you. Being prepared and organized can help you walk into the testing room calm, prepared, and ready to focus.
So here is your test day ultimate checklist to guarantee as smooth and stress-free a testing experience as you can!
The Night Before
You can start preparing the night before your exam day.
- Pack Up! Get all of your items ready to go.

- Valid Government Issued Photo ID– no exceptions here. A driver’s license or passport works great, make sure your photo ID is not expired!

- Directions: Have the address of the testing center plugged into your phone or printed out. Plan to arrive 15-30 minutes early.
- Plan Your Outfit: Dress in comfortable, layered clothing. Testing centers can be unpredictable—either too hot or too cold. A sweater or light jacket you can easily take off is a great idea.
- Eat a Balanced Meal: Have a healthy dinner that’s rich in protein and complex carbs. Avoid overly heavy or sugary foods.
- Get a Good Night’s Sleep: Aim for a full 7-8 hours. Do not stay up all night cramming; at this point, sleep is more valuable than extra study time.
The Morning Of
- Eat a Healthy Breakfast: Choose something with protein and whole grains to give you sustained energy. Avoid sugary cereals that will lead to a crash.
- Limit Caffeine: If you’re a regular coffee drinker, stick to your usual amount. Don’t suddenly drink more than normal, as it can increase anxiety and jitters.
- Final Check: Double-check that you have your ID and confirmation before you walk out the door.
